같은 해 여름 호에는 두 개의 디자인이 수록 되었다. 아마도 이후 4~5년간 가장 열심히 디자인을 했던 듯 하다. 처음 핑거링 굵기의 실로 스웨터를 샘플링 했다.개인적으로는 옆선의 디테일이 너무 마음에 들어서 내가 입으려 두 벌이나 더 만들기도 했던 디자인이다. 그런데 인기는 그다지 없었다.
Description
Front panels pleated only at their sides add another kind of striping to the self-striped Sand Dune Cardigan, and create flattering shape, too. Tiny buttons add preppy charm to artful handpainted colors.
Finished Size: 35 (39½ , 44, 48½ , 52½ )” bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 35″, modeled with 2-4″ of ease.
Yarn:
Freia Fine Handpaints Sport (100% wool; 145 yd [133 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]) purpleheart, 10 (10, 11, 12, 14) balls. Yarn distributed by KnitWhits.
Yarn Weight:
#4 – Medium
Needles:
Body and sleeves. size 5 (3.75 mm) straight. Ribbing. size 3 (3.25 mm): straight and 32″ or longer circular (cir). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions:
Markers (m); tapestry needle; twelve ½ ” buttons.
Gauge:
22 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles.
