닛 닷 웨어는 닛 닷 펄의 후신이다. 컨셉과 스타일을 그대로 유지하다 후에 울 스튜디오로 바뀐다. 인터위브 프레스의 한창 성장기에 너무나 많은 시스터 매거진과 비 정규 간행물이 출간 되었다. 원고료를 받는 디자이너나 작가들에게는 그만큼 자신의 일이 수록될 매체와 가능성이 많아진다는 장점도 있었겠지만 나중에 아주 나중에야 광고료 수익을 위해 이렇게 했구나 하는 걸 알게 되었다. 나는 이 스웨터가 참 마음에 든다. 소재의 색감도 그리고 꽤 머리 써서 만든 편안한 패턴도. 스트라이프의 완벽한 모양을 in round로 담아내기가 난제였는데 여러가지 jogless 를 시도 해봐도 완벽한 선이 나오지 않았다.
그럴 바엔 차라리 앞 에다 넣어 버려야지 하고 색상이 바뀌는 부분을 앞으로 가져다 뒀다. 그러니 그 부분이 착시를 일으키는 무늬처럼 보였다. 그리고 나중에는 의도하지 않은 디자인의 특징이 되었다.
Description
Create the Lin Sweater in the original subtle color combination or work it in something much brighter. Either way, this sweater is a breeze to make and features a top-down, saddle-shoulder construction. The stripes also join in the front in a unique way.
Finished Size: 35¼ (38¼, 41¾, 45½, 49)” bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 38¼”; modeled with 4¼” of positive ease.
Yarn: Shibui Knits Dune (50% baby alpaca, 25% baby camel, 25% silk; 142 yd [130 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): tar (A), 4 (5, 5, 5, 6) hanks; velvet (B), 4 (4, 4, 5, 5) hanks.
Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm): 24″ and 32″ circulars (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rnds = 4″ in St st.
